About Us: Rocking Horse Ranch Therapeutic Riding Program is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1991. We are dedicated to offering equine-assisted activities and therapy to children and adults with various physical, cognitive, and psychological disabilities. As a Premier Accredited Center designated by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International, we take pride in making a positive impact on our community.
Position Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate volunteers to join our team and make a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities. As an Equine-Assisted Activities Volunteer, you will work closely with our experienced staff and gentle therapy horses to support our riders during their sessions.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with Horse Care: Help groom, tack, and lead horses before and after therapy sessions, ensuring their well-being and readiness for riders.
- Support Riders: Offer physical and emotional support to riders during therapy sessions, helping them build confidence and achieve their goals.
- Safety: Maintain a safe and clean environment for riders, volunteers, and horses, following established safety protocols.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with our dedicated staff and other volunteers to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all participants.
